[Temeraire is looking much more put together than he was the last time he was on the network. He's also gotten better at working the 'Gear.]

Excuse me, everyone, I have a question for the people who have been here longer.

[He turns the camera around behind him to show a Druddigon and a shiny golden Charmander. The Charmander looks to be pestering the Druddigon despite being a fraction of her size, with the Druddigon carefully batting it away every so often. Then the camera is back on Temeraire, who lowers his voice and looks a little worried.]

Neither of them have gotten any bigger. Shimmer has only just hatched, so it makes sense that she is still small, but Reliant is at least a few weeks old and has not grown at all. Is that normal for Pokemon?

[He thinks a moment before adding, more to himself although it's still clearly audible] There have not been any cows or sheep for them to eat, perhaps that is what's wrong.

[Then he's back to addressing the camera at a normal speaking volume, and smiling a little for good measure.] I would very much appreciate any help.

[The feed lasts a little bit longer while he looks for the off button, but apparently he finds it because it shuts off.]

Different monsters grow differently.

[This should be true everywhere. If not, that's news to Raven.]

[He frowns a little.]

Their growth might be different, yes. But I would not call them monsters.

Why not?

[What else do you call non-human non-elf non-dwarf non-etc. animal-like creatures? Other than, you know, "Pokémon" but that fills the same slot as 'monster' in her vocabulary.]

[He doesn't realize that that's all she meant; in his world, the word monster has a less neutral and more negative connotation.]

They have not done anything terrible or attacked anybody they should not, so I do not see why anyone would call them monsters.

[Raven instantly bristles. So, it's like that then.]

Not all monsters are savage.

[Cultural miscommunication: ~~not~~ fun for everyone! Raven's bristling gets Temeraire's back up even more.]

Then why would they be called monsters? If they were not savage, it stands to reason that they would be called something else.

They can look past the humans that are brutal and dangerous.

[There's some confusion starting to enter his expression; he's getting the feeling that they're not talking about the same things here.]

[But it's not a strong enough feeling yet for him to, you know. Stop arguing and try to figure it out calmly.]

I do not see where humans came into it at all. I suppose some of them could be called monsters, yes, but that is still because they are unpleasant. It is what the word means.

You think all monsters are unpleasant?

I...

[He pauses, confusion starting to override his irritation.]

I am starting to wonder if we are talking about the same sort of thing at all.

[The short and easily understandable version would be something like 'monsters are people too'.]

Some humans are unpleasant too. That doesn't mean they all are.
