3rd Battle [video/action for Goldenrod]

Misaki! I am here in Goldenrod now.

[Temeraire's eyes are wide, and his expression just a bit awestruck. From the background of the video, he's clearly already wandered a ways into the city. He'd thought Violet was fascinating before, but this place…he'd never imagined something like it existed.]

I did not realize it would be so big. The buildings are so much taller than they are in Dover, and I wonder if it might be even bigger than London.

[Not that he's ever actually seen London.]

Misaki, if you could tell me where you are, I will try to find you, although I am not terribly sure where in the city I am.

[With that, he turns the feed off. For anyone in Goldenrod, they might find him wandering anywhere in the city, trailed by a Druddigon (which has a carefully blanket-wrapped egg strapped onto her back), a shiny Charmander, and his newly caught Mareep. He'll be trying to look in about five different directions at the same time so that he can see everything, so collisions are very likely.]

[Misaki happened to be somewhere within the small shops, narrowly missing Temeraire and his pokemon. Something to have catch her attention so intensely to have her miss Temeraire's entrance and the pokegear.]

[Luckily her Togetic happened to be trailing behind her and noticed the man that Misaki has been talking to on multiple occasions happened to be in Goldenrod, enjoying the sights of the city. Angel attempts to get Misaki's attention only rudely brushed off. You can see where her Banette gets his attitude from.]

[Angel gives a pout and flies over to where Temeraire was to get his attention. Chances are she might accidentally fly in any of his pokemon or Temeraire himself.]

[Temeraire doesn't notice Angel at first, he's looking in the other direction at a shouting street vendor, but Reliant notices.]

Are you looking for someone?

[Shimmer the Charmander, from down next to Reliant's feet, adds in her own two cents:] Are you looking for a fight?!

[Sounds like Shimmer and Wani would get along great.]

[Upon hearing the Charmander's words, Angel furiously shook her head.] Oh no, no! I don't want to fight two new friends! [She says this with great enthusiasm.]

My trainer mentioned to me that she was expected to meet a friend here in the city some time now. I think your trainer is that friend!

[They can terrorize everyone together! Reliant covertly (and lightly) knocks Shimmer with her arm to stop the Charmander from responding again because good Lord we do not need to be picking fights with friendly strangers thank you very much.]

...Your trainer wouldn't happen to be named Misaki, would they? Mine has been talking about meeting up with that one this whole trip.

That's her name! She's told us she was planning to meet up with a friend in the city but she wasn't exactly sure when. She's at the the shops nearby and didn't seem too interested when I tried getting her attention. I think you should let your trainer know, though.

[Reliant nods, definitely glad now that Angel came to find them, and goes to Temeraire's side to tap him on the shoulder and get his attention. When he turns around and notices Angel, he smiles at her.]

Hello, are you lost?

[Angel shook her head and she motioned the man to follow her towards the direction where the Togetic came from.]

Chik chik! [She says it as if she was saying, "Over here!".]

[Meanwhile, after gazing at the porcelain dolls and feeling the nostalgic feelings she got from said dolls, she finally noticed her Togetic happened to have wander off somewhere.] ...Where did that bird go?

[Temeraire gets that she wants him to follow, although he's not sure why. Reliant prompts him herself, taking hold of his arm and leading him after Angel. Shimmer and Sheep follow behind them, although Shimmer continues to give Angel challenging looks.]

What are you all leading me towards?

[He starts peering more closely in the direction they're going as he walks, but he doesn't see Misaki yet.]

[Misaki starts walking from the stand to go searching for her missing Togetic. As always, she had her Wani's pokeball in hand, in case any shenanigans were to happen. As she started walking a bit, she seems to have spotted a white floating figure that was coming her way.]

[Upon closer insepction, it seemed to be Angel being trailed by someone. While she expecting her pokemon, she wasn't expecting just who was following the naive bird. She was fully ready to take the overgrown alligator out until she sees just who she was expecting.]

Oh my god...

[And as they get closer, Temeraire finally does spot her. He's very grateful that he followed the strange white bird now; he'd been wondering how on earth he'd been going to find her in such a big city without knowing where she was.]

[The street is noisy, so he shouts as he continues approaching, cupping a hand around his mouth to make his voice louder.]

Misaki! Hello!

[And now he's yelling. Great. Misaki sped up her walk towards the man so the two didn't have to yell over to the noisy street. When she felt they were close enough, she just talked in her normal voice instead.]

Hey Temeraire! How was the trip from Cherrygrove?

[Angel, on the other hand, flew back to Misaki's side, pleased she was able to help out in their union.]

[He smiles broadly; this is the first time he's gotten to meet one of his Pokegear friends in person.]

It took longer than I thought it would, going everywhere on foot is very slow. But now I have gotten much better at walking, and the weather was not so bad.

[He briefly glances around at the city around them again, still looking kind of in awe of it.]

It is a good thing your Pokemon found me, or I might not have found you in all this.

[This was exciting for Misaki too! Maybe now she wouldn't have to be alone all the time like she used to.]

Slow, huh? Well, it helps if you're able to ride your pokemon or a bike at least. If we're ever going somewhere, I could lend you either one if you need one. [She actually has plans to go somewhere after Breeder Con but she'll tell him about this later.]

[She notices Temeraire's awe at the city and made a smirk.] Nice city, isn't it? Sorry if Angel's kind of...well, pushy with you. She's a bit too friendly.

[He nods.] I was able to ride Reliant some of the way, but even she cannot fly with me on her back. But thank you, perhaps I will borrow one from you next time, if she gets tired.

[Reliant's head jerks up at this, and she growls a little possessively. Temeraire ducks his head, sheepish at the clear reprimand. He knows that feeling; he never would let Laurence ride on any other dragons either.] Although maybe not after all.

Oh, her name is Angel? She was not truly pushy, and she was very helpful. [And now his eyes light up, give him a second to gush about this omg city.] It is very impressive! I have never gotten to go into a city before, and there is so much to see and so many people! And the buildings, they're so tall, I have never seen anything like.

[Misaki made no reaction for the Druddigon's reaction. Was kind of expecting that actually.] Just throwing it out there .

[She gave a pat on the Togetic's head as it perched on her shoulder.] That's good to know. I was fearing she might get too annoying in her over-enthusiasm.

The city here reminds me of the capital from back home so it gives me a good nostalgic feeling. [She might be feeling a bit homesick but she'll get over it.] Have you eaten anything before coming here?

[He shakes his head.]

No, I haven't been here for very long. And I was much too busy looking at everything to stop to eat.

[Although her comment about her home makes him think...]

What is your home like, Misaki?

[Someone's been Goldenstuck for ages by now and this is the second time this has happened to her, so she almost feels like a local here. At least she has some plans of moving forward - or backward, considering that she should get a badge from Violet - but... So far, they are only plans.

Today she's doing shopping around Goldenrod, with her Kirlia, Vanillite and Jolteon following around her and a Pikachu traveling on her shoulder.]

And then there's Valentine's day coming up. I really should start planning things ahead, so everything will go well.

[Someone too busy talking to her animal friends, she doesn't notice that she might walk into another person soon. Lucky for her, that Kirlia seems to notice everything. It takes a deep breath, might look more like it's screaming without a sound... While in fact it's telling her trainer to watch out, but it's using telepathy for that. If girl talking to her animal friends wasn't weird enough, the girl stopping and looking at the Kirlia might be a little odd.]

Ehhh? [Turning her face into the direction. Ahhh. Good thing she stopped in time... A little squeeze to the paper bag that she's holding in her hands and a friendly smile to the man.] Ahh, I'm sorry, I wasn't paying attention.

[Temeraire startles when they almost run into each other, having been busy staring upwards at the impossibly tall buildings, and takes a quick step back.]

Oh! I am very sorry too, I was not watching in front of me.

[He looks very sheepish about it, and hunches his shoulders in the way he would have covered his face with a wing before, but he smiles back.]

Are you all right?

Eheh, I wasn't watching in front of me either, so I think we're all clear. I really should pay more attention to my surroundings here...

[She looks very sheepish about it too. Way to go, self, always being somewhere in her own little world in the middle of cities.]

I'm all right, I hope you're all right too?

Yes, I am quite all right.

It is very hard to keep track of everything when there is so much going on all around.

[Sounds like he's quite new here. Hmmmm!]

Could it be that big cities are a new thing to you?

[He nods, looking sheepish about having been so obvious.]

Yes, I have never been into any cities at all, or even towns. And I haven't seen anything so big or with such tall buildings as this, even from the air. [At this, some of the awe returns to his voice; he really is very impressed at the buildings.]

I used to be a dragon, you see, and we are much too big to fit into the streets. And Laurence--he is my captain--he told me that I might frighten people even if I did not mean to.

[Baby, you're not obvious... Well, maybe you are, but that's not a bad thing. She just is the kind of girl who realizes stuff from little things. Living the worst year of her life in the middle of ~~shinigami~~ angels proved that much. And she might have heard someone being all excited here.

He'll get a smile. It's okay to be obvious even if he wasn't as obvious as he could have been.

Ah well, she's from Tokyo herself, so big cities don't surprise her at all...]

From the air? ...So he can fly whenever his powers are not taken away from him? Yeah, being able to fly is not a new thing to her. She really lived a year with angels.

A DRAGON? Mitsuki, plz, your deep ocean blue eyes ~~eye color on that icon is a lie, yes~~ are going to fall off if you keep staring at him like that.

But, really? A dragon? That's amazing. Yeah no, she's not even going to question about their existence or anything. Magic and angels are real in her world, she's read fairy tales and stuff and why couldn't dragons exist in other worlds?]

[...But the part about frightening people, as true as it probably might be - is kind of sad. This may be a more sympathetic smile from a girl who knows much about things that are able to frighten most people. Like, she knows someone with a death scythe as a good example.]

I see. I guess most people would be really frightened by dragons. [They're not exactly cute and fluffy little pets.] ...If they didn't know that there are friendly dragons too. [Girl from the series where she became best friends with people who were trying to kill her at first.]

Ah, but if you need any help now when you're here, I could try to help you in any way I can.

Dover?

Yes, Dover in England. That is where I was stationed before I came here, although I have never gone into the actual town.

Are you in the military, being stationed and all?

That's right, I am part of His Majesty's Aerial Corps.

...There is no king of England.

Yes, there is. I have heard all about him.

[He is very certain that there is a king involved in the Government. He is admittedly not very aware of how exactly Government works, but he's sure there's a king.]

If I remember history right... Then the last king was King George VI. He was succeeded by his daughter.

The king right now is named George III...I think we must be from different times. I have met several other people who say they are also from the future.

[Which he is still not at all used to, but he's had to accept it.]

More like from another universe... There's no way there could be an Aerial Corps. Planes weren't put into use until way after 1902.

I am not sure what you mean by planes, but there is certainly an Aerial Corps where I am from, because I fly in it.

What do you fly if you don't use planes!?

Dragons belong in fairy tales.

Maybe in your world we do. But in mine we are not fairy tales at all, we are very real.

...You don't sound very dragon-y.

Goldenrod is definitely huge. It took me a few months to really get used to it.

Did you not have anything like it in your world either?

[Because that would be nice to know someone else who wasn't all 'oh big cities nbd'.]

Nah. Mountains as tall as the buildings, sure, but not anything like the buildings themselves. Berk's pretty small, in comparison.

What's your home like? Dover, was it?

Dover was where my wing was stationed, so that was where I lived right then. And before that I was at Loch Laggann for training, and before that I was hatched on board a ship. So I am not sure if any of those were a home...but my country is called England.

[He doesn't really get the idea of 'home'. Home is wherever his captain is.]

It is a very big island, with lots of flat places and hills and some mountains in the north. Dover is a town by the sea, which is very nice because there are fish to eat and I can swim when we go, although I am not allowed to go by myself because it would frighten the fishermen. It is a very important place to have a dragon covert, in case the French try to attack us over the Channel.

[Hiccup had never really felt like he'd 'belonged' with the other vikings, but he couldn't imagine not having a 'home' like Berk.]

That sounds great--and parts sound similar to Berk. What's the weather like there? Do you have a lot of space that you and the rest of your wing can fly around, if you want?
