???th Battle [FOURTH WALL]
[There's a new sort of dragon in Blackthorn City today. Or rather, flying above it; after being grounded for nearly six months, Temeraire is taking full advantage of his regained wings to perform all sorts of fancy dives and loops. And with him being several stories tall and weighing around eighteen tons, it would be very difficult to miss seeing him. A second look reveals that he's wearing a complicated-looking harness made of leather straps that covers from his chest to the base of his tail. There's also a large, platinum pendant around his neck, decorated with sapphires and pearls. Every so often he stops to hover in the air, bending his long neck around to rub the pendant with his nose. Around him, a group of six Pokemon fly: a Druddigon, a shiny black Charizard, a Dragonite, an Altaria, and a Flygon. Next to Temeraire, they look like so many gulls flocking around a ship.]
[Around midmorning, the joy of being in his proper form again settles down enough that Temeraire realizes that he doesn't actually know where in Johto he is. Or, more importantly, where Misaki is. So he starts flying lower over the city, hoping to spot her. But what if she's inside? Maybe he'd better call out.]
MISAKI! ARE YOU HERE?
[…and by 'call out' he actually means 'accidentally deafen the whole city'. Whoops.]
[If he doesn't find her in Blackthorn, Temeraire will pick a direction and start flying, keeping a sharp eye out for her or anyone he recognizes as he soars throughout Johto. He'll also have to stop and rest occasionally, in whatever large, clear space he can find. And since he's wearing his harness, he might even give some people rides.]
[OOC: For reference, here he is on a size chart (he's the black one). Comments will be coming from
dragonrights!]

...It's certainly been a while since he's seen a dragon that size, yep. Despite the yell, though, it didn't seem like this one was out to cause trouble. If only the same could be said for the pack of cat-sized dragons squirreling their way around Hiccup and screeching up at Temeraire.]
no subject
[Sighing to herself, Misaki sent out her Charizard and sat on top of her.]
そらをとぶ! [She point to the big black dragon in the sky.] そらをとぶ!!
[Kiyo seemingly understood the girl and started flying towards Temeraire. Have a Charizard coming at you, you big dragon.]
no subject
You will deafen them, you fool. If you must cry for your partner, do so through your link. Are you nothing but a hatchling?
no subject
[He manages to only knock over one lamp post, and his Pokemon land wherever they can fit. Once he's on the ground he leans his head down. Fortunately, his normal speaking voice is much quieter, even if it is still a bit loud.]
Hiccup! It's me, Temeraire, I am glad to have found you. Today has been very strange so far.
no subject
Hey, Temeraire! You'll get used to days like these eventually...
[Hiccup's hand reaches up automatically, though it doesn't quite connect. Dragons. c=]
Having fun being a dragon again? I never expected you to be so big.
no subject
Unfortunately, he's also far too high up and she's far too purple for him to recognize her. So she thinks, and thinks a bit more, and picks a random direction, and just happens to end up in the next clearing Temeraire is going to pick to land in. How lucky!]
Um... Temeraire? It is Temeraire, right?
[Have a properly purple humanoid alien, complete with tail. The way it's curling and twisting behind her says it's just as happy to be back as she is to have it.]
no subject
Temeraire, old boy! Is that you up there on the wing?
no subject
Oh! There you are! Look, I am a dragon again!
[He peers more closely at her.]
Those are very interesting clothes, where did you get them?
no subject
There is no call to be rude. How else am I supposed to find her if she is inside and cannot see me? I am not sure what you are talking about links for.
[He does have the grace to look a little sheepish, then.] Perhaps I was slightly louder than I meant to be. But I am not a fool or a hatchling.
no subject
[action]
yeah that... is a dragon
...well he did meet someone claiming to be a dragon at the party in Tohjo, but who knows how many people here are dragons?
He'll dither a bit about being in an area without much cover... that dragon seemed pretty polite, but, well, not all dragons are, and even he isn't sure if he could take a dragon in a one on one fight.]
no subject
[He does think that he recognizes her voice, even if she looks different. He's also fascinated by the fact that she's purple, what a lovely color!]
Yes, I am Temeraire. You are Trance, aren't you? You found your tail!
[He can't smile anymore, but he's clearly in a very good mood.]

[Everypony looked tiny to Spike now, even when he was on the ground. It was great! He finally wasn't short any more! He roared in glee, deafening the community, as his huge purple and green body lazily flew through the skies of Johto.
[He spots another airborn dragon, surrounded by flying pokemon, and hovers for a second, cautious. Dragons in Equestria were meanies. He had no idea who this newcomer could be.
[Or did he?]
[Sounding hopeful, and in a far far deeper voice that Tem would probably recognise...]
...Temeraire?
[This adult Spike voice still sounded so cool to him!]
no subject
Hello, Bobbery! [Deciding that it would be much easier to swim than to hover long enough to have a proper conversation, Temeraire lands in the lake nearby and paddles over alongside the Wailord. He's a very capable swimmer.]
It is very good to see you again, I did not think I ever would.
[action]
[Oh, this guy looks familiar! It's that man from England who he met at the party.]
Hello!
[That might make things a little better? At any rate, Temeraire hadn't been intending to land, but now that he's pretty sure he recognizes Kayneth, he pulls up to circle around again and come in at a better angle. When he does land, it shakes the ground.]
I met you at the party, didn't I?
no subject
だから、前回の竜だった.. [So you were the dragon from last time..]
[Upon hearing the question, Misaki looked down at her wardrobe and blushed.]
私はこれらの服に目が覚めた。私の他の服のすべてが表示されません。[I woke up in these clothes. All of my other clothes are missing.]
no subject
[Well now he certainly has to investigate. The voice is too deep for him to recognize, and the only other dragon he's met in Johto had said he was a small baby.]
Yes, that is my name. Have we met?
no subject
[His ruff has gone up in annoyance now, after being called a fool twice for not knowing about whatever link the other dragon is talking about.]
If by my pact partner you mean my captain, I do not think he is in this world at all.
no subject
Oh yes, very much. I had missed flying so.
[He stretches his wings halfway out, and is clearly proud at the comment about his size.]
I am one of the biggest dragons at my covert, except for my friend Maximus. Does this happen often, then?
[Hopeful Temeraire is hopeful! Hands and cities are nice, but he'd like to turn back into a dragon more often.]
no subject
What language is that? I have not heard it before...I don't understand it.
[Well this might make things complicated :I ]
no subject
... I see. This is a different land indeed. It is not of the gods but simply different.
[That answers that question.]
no subject
I did! And you found yours, and your wings, too! Oh, you weren't kidding. You're magnificent!
no subject
[She's just going to facepalm.]
偉大な、さらに別の人は理解していません。時々私は本当にこの世界を憎む。[Great, yet another person doesn't understand. Sometimes I really hate this world.]
[action]
...Ah.
Yes, you did.
no subject
[So he watches with a small smile. HELLO, BRIEF FRIEND WHO MADE AN IMPRESSION.]
no subject
[After all, a downed dragon was a dead dragon, where he was from. That and flying was just better.]
We had a Seadragonus Giganticus Maximus in my world. That was the biggest dragon around, too, only it wasn't much of a friend.
[A universally good name for sizable dragons, apparently.]
It's happened three times while I've been here, and that's been about a year and a half, I think. It's only ever been a few days at a time though, unfortunately.
no subject
Yeah! It’s me, Spike! Remember we spoke over the pokegear?
Now I’m an adult dragon and not a baby anymore! This is great!
[He inspected Tem while hovering, impressed at how cool the black dragon looked.]
Is this how you usually look?
no subject
Cooper! Hello, I thought you had gone home!
no subject
Can you still understand me? Nod if you can.
no subject
Thank you. Your skin is a very nice color, I have never seen anybody with purple skin before.
[He tilts his head, considering something.]
Would you like a ride? It is perfectly safe, with the harness.
no subject
[And he knows more about it than she does, he thinks satisfiedly to himself, which makes her the foolish one about that.]
What country are you from? [He bets it's one of Napoleon's.]
[action] assuming he has his mercury blob?
[He glances to the ball of...something that the man has with him, pupils widening in interest. It's nice and shiny, even if it is plain looking. He wonders if it's some sort of treasure.]
What is that you have with you?
no subject
[He's glad to see his dragon friend! Temeraire inspects Spike back...while also trying to surreptitiously check if Spike is bigger than he is. Not that it would be a problem if Spike were bigger, he thinks quickly, but it is an important thing to know for sure.]
It is! Whatever has happened, this world has been very kind to let us go back to normal.
no subject
[He can't help but sound disappointed; he's missed this a lot, and another six months without it isn't something he's looking forward to. To distract himself, he glances back at the Terrible Terrors.]
Are those friends of yours?
no subject
Caerleon was the name of the Eastern country. I know not the others. They are the domains of men and unworthy of attention.
no subject
We're not very common where I'm from, either, but thank you!
Would you really take me for a ride? Like really flying?
no subject
These guys? Uh, no, not exactly... [Especially the one that keeps clamoring onto his head and digging his nails in. If only he weren't the only one behaving, generally speaking.] But they're from my world. They're called Terrible Terrors.
[One of them marches up to Temeraire and squeak-roars up, puffing out her chest like she doesn't know that if the bigger dragon took a step forward, he could squish twenty of her.]
no subject
私は普通に話しているかなり確信しています。私は時々この世界を理解していない... [I am pretty sure I am speaking normally. I don't understand this world sometimes...]
[Kind of talking to herself here..]
[action] yes!
[Well, he's never been one to allow himself to be intimidated, so he'll simply approach this as a normal conversation.
...though, 'normal' is relative when you're talking about animate mercury blobs]
Ah, yes-this is my Mystic Code, Volumen Hydragyurm. To put it more simply, it's 140 kilograms of enchanted mercury.
Sorry for lateness! Was on hiatus....
Me either! It just sort of happened. I was out in front of the Cianwood Inn, and suddenly I was looking down at all the rooftops of the houses.
But this is so cool! [Spike cautiously does a loop-de-loop, trying to make sure he remembered what Rainbow Dash had been teaching him earlier in the day so he wouldn't get disorientated.]
You're a really big dragon! Can you breathe fire?
[Although an adult dragon in body, Spike is still as excited as a colt and wants to learn everything from Tem!]
no subject
[He turns his head back to look, and does find one, nosing it so that she can see where it is.]
If you have a belt to attach it to, that would be best. Or you could just hold onto it, and I would fly very carefully.
no subject
That is what happened to me too, after that flash of light. Except that I was in Blackthorn, not Cianwood.
[He gives Spike a dragon-y grin back.]
Thank you...and no, I cannot breathe fire. [He looks sort of sheepish about it. He'd like to be able to breathe fire, but Laurence had told him that it wasn't something his breed can do. But then he remembers the talent that he does have, which he'd found out about not long before showing up in Johto.] I can do something called the divine wind, though, let me show you!
[He turns to a stand of trees down on the ground below, gathering all the air he can into his lungs until even his neck starts swelling. Then he roars at the trees, a deafening sound; the trunks crack and splinter, and most of the leaves get blown right away. A few of the less sturdy trees fall over.]
no subject
Wo..woah! That was so cool! [Spike is sounding really excited and in awe of the older dragon.]
Do you think you can teach me how to do that? What was it called? Divine Wind?
[Spike looks down, inspecting the damage. It looked like Autumn in Equestria when all the trees had just dropped their leaves.]
All I can do it this.
[Spike takes a deep breath, and then loudly belches a large green flame into the air, sensibly not aiming for the trees. No need to start a forest fire!]
no subject
[What fun is flying if you can only do it 'very carefully'?]
